Jyothis Shelter Home,Taloja-for HIV-AIDS patients & destitutes
Jyothis charitable trust is a NGO working relentlessly for the prevention ,treatment,care & support of HIV-AIDS patients for last 17 years.
It has a shelter home-a terminal care center at Taloja, District Panvel,Maharashtra.
The center is run by Sister Jesna & Sister Dionesia. They reside within the premises along with 25 inmates out of whom 6 are HIV patients & rest are here because of old age or they are destitutes. Some are terminal mental cases too.
The center is spread in 1 acre of land.It has 2 halls with 15 beds each.The compound is circular with central garden which has many flowering plants.
Outside the building in the remaining land, fruits and vegetables are grown.
Center is maintained by the voluntary participation of residents who assist in fearming,cleaning,cooking,washing & in general the needful.
There is a prayer hall where all collect together to pray 3 times a day
Once a week yoga class is conducted by Mrs Dhanashri or Dr Divya Mithel to maintain the health & fitness of the residents.
There is one central kitchen and all sit down together to eat
Jyothis Charitable Trust is running a noble cause.
