Violence Against Doctors- Shameful Act

Dear All, Doctors community stood together today at Azad Maidan, VT, Mumbai, in support of a Dharna called by our body-IMA-Indian Medical Association in protest of violence of any form against doctors. In light of recent attacks on resident doctors and specialists of various fields at Dhule,Nashik, Thane and Chennai we the doctors community gathered together in peaceful manner to show our agitation. Friends, everyone of us will require a health care provider at various points of our lives . Those who took to violence and law breaking may also be having their family members and friends who are also doctors in other parts of India. If the same violence is happening to our near & dear ones , a situation may arise that existing doctors will leave this profession . That many youngsters don't want to go in this profession already, neither the parents want to send them to this profession , is a reality.

Calling all our dear friends including doctors and patients into unity. Let's work to make health services better within our limited resources.
