 Importance of doing genetic testing-'Chromosomal Microarray' in a case of missed abortion

A 26 year old, married woman, resident of Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, has been under our care for her first pregnancy which was in early stages.

First ultrasound of 7-8 weeks duration, that we do for checking of fetal heartbeat, revealed a missed abortion.

She underwent a D&C.

The currenting material was subjected to CMA- Chromosomal Micro Array 

Though the report came as 'No abnormality detected' -these advance testing are a a reassurance that future pregnancy will not have any difficulty and recurrence
