A 32 year old female from Ulwe has been taking treatment from me for infertility.
She conceived too.
Unfortunately in 8 weeks antenatal scan, it showed early fetal demise.
In common language it is called missed abortion.
In this the fetal heart activity is absent.
As the pregnancy duration is a bit advanced-abortion tablets can not be given.
The best treatment is timely DNC.
Layman will understand it as a cleaning procedure.
As the products of conception are a dead product, they tend to stick to the walls of the uterus.
Careful curettage will completely remove them.
If procedure is delayed, pain & bleeding can be experienced.
Then it will become an emergency to deal with.
