Prolonged stay of post delivery mother in hospital as the baby is in NICU for Prematurity

 

A 34 year primi, resident of Seawoods,Navi Mumbai, underwent spontaneous painless dilatation of cervix at 30 weeks of gestation with Breech.

Emergency LSCS done by Dr,Himani R Gupta,Gynecologist from Kharghar,Navi Mumbai,saved the baby but NICU stay is prolonged.

Ventilator support,C-PAP all are used.

Mother chose to stay in hospital for breastfeeding for a prolonged time to support baby's recovery.
