A 33 year old woman, resident of Kharghar.Navi Mumbai consulted Dr.Himani R Gupta,Gynecoloist & Obstetrician from Kharghar Navi Mumbai.
She is pregnant for the second time and 13 weeks by gestation.
Her NT NB scan is normal but Double marker is showing high risk of 1:34.
She had the mindset that she should go for abortion as there are higher chances of baby being abnormal.
But her ultrasound is ok.
She was counselled to go for Amniocentesis as this will 100% give diagnosis.
If you really want pregnancy then put up a fight for the unborn.
If test comes abnormal,anyway option of abortion is still there.
If the baby is healthy you would have aborted a perfectly good baby for nothing.
