A 34 year old woman,a hotelier by profession,mother of 1 child and now pregnant again,resident of Pen,is undergoing ANC care under Dr.Himani R Gupta,Gynecoloist & Obstetrician from Kharghar,Navi Mumbai .
She gives history of Gestational Diabetes in her first pregnancy.
post pregnancy,she recovered and did not have any diabetes for the next 4 years.
In this pregnancy as soon as she reached 14 weeks,the diabetes came back.
It is almost certain that woman will have recurrence of diabetes in this pregnancy also.
It is because of pregnancy hormones which make her susceptible to recurrence.
